Take it Easy with our Novice Ride

The 30-mile route is a flat trip from Squaw Valley to Donner Lake and back, following the scenic route of the Truckee River and the shoreline of Donner Lake. A short detour in Truckee along Donner Pass Road and West River Street is necessary to avoid the dangerously narrow railroad underpass near Deerfield Drive. Watch for volunteers and signs in this area to guide you at each turn.

Please be aware that we are working to secure our 2016 permits; specific locations of the rest stops may change. We will update this description and the route sheets as soon as our permits are completed.

The lunch stop for this route is in the group picnic area at Donner Memorial State Park.
